Maybe each bonus objective should instead give you a specific permenant bonus. Maybe the problem is in, ironically, the choice. Again I like the core idea of complete bonus object = cool reward. I feel like it needs some kind of rework, as I said. I should be going "Yes! I did a bonus objective and now I get a prize!" and feeling awesome about it, but I don't feel that way at all. When choosing a reward I come out feeling uncertain of my choice and feeling like I'll regret it later. But right now the emotion I feel when looking at rewards to pick is a negative one when it should be a positive feeling. Maybe it changes getting further into the game, or maybe there's some aspect to it I don't understand or am missing something. Something about the system as it is now just feels off. I actually kinda agree with you that simply making them blanketly resettable would cause problems as it stands. Hopefully this helps you figure something out going forward with patches! I don't feel like I'm being rewarded when I'm presented with these options as they stand, instead I find myself agonizing over the choice and going "Which of these is best? Is this a consumable? Is a skill point better than 3 gems? What about 5 gems? If I don't get this ethereal map now will I even be able to get it again later?" etc.īeing able to redo your choices of bonuses would help a lot, but considering some of them are disposable items that might need some rework? I don't want to come off like I dislike the game or think it's bad. I don't at all dislike the concept of bonus rewards, far from it I think it's a cool idea. Like sometimes you'll get 10 gems for a gem reward, sometimes 3 or 5. Plus the amount you get for each one changes as well. They don't seem to be random (Or at least I seemed to be getting the same ethereal maps and runes from the same ones) and a lot of them are consumable, which makes grabbing those ones make you feel like a sucker when you could have gotten a permenant bonus. While I like almost all the new systems in this game I really don't like the implementation of the reward system for completing bonus objectives. Are the options random? Is there a limit to what you can get of each type? Like could theoretically "max" all the various rewards if you got everything from every map?Įdit: I spent some time playing through the opening levels resetting and I have to be honest. Yeah, I noticed the reset option and already used it (Twice in fact, because indecisive).
